boar hunting?

me and my friends are going camping this weekend on my friends farm.witch is like 17000 acres. and we have ben out there befor to go deer and rabit hunting and we always see wild boar and stuff like that and we were wondering what would it take to kill it?like what kind of shot gun and will they chase us if we get to close?and just knowledge about them so we dont get hurt or anything. and what do they eat?so we can lay down some food or seed or what ever.
